A&G Marshall Group supports Shekinah, we believe that everybody should be given equal opportunity to rebuild themselves and to turn over a new leaf when life is difficult. This is why since 2018, A&G have sponsored Shekinah, a Devon and Cornwall based nonprofit, dedicated too ‘providing opportunities for people in recovery or seeking recovery.’ from homelessness and other issues.
Shekinah is, at its core, a charity to combat homelessness, but over 28 years of outstanding service to our community, have found a rise of people in need of other specialist services. These include: benefit advice, training for employment, addiction support and other issues. All of which they consistently work proactively to provide information and support for.
Andrew Marshall, one of the company directors, is currently being trained as a MEDIATOR to take part in Shekinahs ‘Restorative Justice’ service. RJ is a voluntary ‘victim led’ service that offers a safe, impartial and controlled environment for victims of crime, and their offenders to communicate; to hear the other person’s side of the story so that both parties can discuss and begin to heal from the events.
Shekinah’s mission is to ‘see the person first’. This is something that A&G have always valued and worked to uphold. Year after year, Shekinah continues to offer support, guidance, and a listening ear to anyone in need. They strive to better the lives of vulnerable people in our community, and we hope that by supporting Shekinah and raising awareness for their outstanding work, we can be a part of that change too.
